Excellent utility that "just works"

Surfing the web on your mac and come across a phone number you need to call? Select the number, right click and choose "Dial Number on iPhone" and you're all set! Awesome.

Works for most Apple applications

I love having the ability to dial a number I find from my Mac, and this utility does that, for the most part. The phone number must be in some sort of standard format (e.g. (###) ###-####, ###-###-####, etc). And it won't dial any phone numbers containing alpha characters.

So far I've tested it to work under all the Apple standard applications, such as Mail (Messages and Notes), TextEdit, Safari, Address Book, iChat, iPhoto.

But it doesn't work under FileMaker Pro, nor for any of the Microsoft Office products (Entourage/Calendar/Notes/Address Book, Word, Excel), no matter how i format the number.

And as far as I can tell you can forget about using it with Firefox, and probably any other third-party web browser.

Time Saver

Nice being able to initiate a call straight from my mac, handy for finding my phone too. ;)
